19th Century Building to be Converted Back to Retail

9th May 2011

Gould Singleton have recently secured detailed Planning and Listed Building Consent for the relocation of 'Withers Court' pedestrian arcade in the High Street, Chipping Norton. The current arcade passes through a 19thCentury 'Gothic Feature' building that was purposely built by the Co-operative movement in 1890, however this was partly demolished in the mid-20thCentury for a pedestrian arcade through to the rear.

Consent has now been granted for the re-alignment of the arcade to enable the original building to be converted back to retail space as an extension to the retail provision on the High Street.

Successful negotiations with English Heritage and the Conservation Officer secured the consent without delays.

Anticipated commencement of works late 2012. Value £700,000
