New Primary Care facilities procured under 3PD route and design and build by Ashley House plc. Designed to replace outdated facilities in the original doctor's house, the new medical centre for Balsall Common will house accommodation for GPs, nurses, health visitors and midwives. A new modern purpose built medical centre to meet BREEAM excellent standards incorporating air source heat pumps, rainwater recycling, and sustainable drainage systems.
Situated in the original green belt the building and it's landscape has been carefully designed to respect it's location and environment. Issues at planning with location, siting and access and appearance were all successfully resolved. Construction works commenced on site May 2011. Completion due February 2012.
