Upton Surgery

  • New Medical Facility
  • Upton-upon-Severn
  • Value: £3.3m
Opened in October 2007, the new surgery at Upton was delivered within the constraints of flood plain restrictions and limited site availabilty and with the support of the Local Planning Authority, PCT and Doctors/Dentists.

The building is designed to sit above the flood levels providing Primary Healthcare facilities for a 7 GP practice, Dental Surgery and PCT services. An emergency base would operate from the building when Upton is flooded.

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall performed a formal ceromoney to mark the official opening in 2008 and viewed the premises and met the design team.
