• The Midcounties Co-op
• Rose Hill, West Oxford
• Value: £1.0m
• New Retail Store Project
The site was a former landmark Public House, The King of Prussia, however this was burnt to the ground prior to Midcounties Co-operative acquiring the site.
The scheme had already received consent by a 3rd party, however this was reviewed, and a new application was submitted to Oxford City Council and subsequently approved.
The site had many obstacles to overcome at planning stage, changes to the road layout required County Council's approval, a watching brief for Archeology concerns, and mature trees with preservation orders exist.
The design will allow for expansion at a later date. Anticipated completion Late 2011, Value of the works £1 million
