Estimated at a value of £18 million, the accommodation compromises of 205 student bedrooms which are divided into 180 cluster bedrooms, 19 studios and 6 accessible bedrooms. There are 25 common rooms with kitchen facilities, a large communal area and dedicated storage for 200 cycles also included as the design seeks a BREEAM excellent rating.
Having worked in close collaboration with the planners on the scheme, it was accepted first time with strong support, in particular from Brighton University as the proximity of the design seeks to maximise the use of surrounding local amenities suitable for the student demographic.
