The developer, Hadzor Davies, agreed the purchase of a petrol station and workshop that was in need of considerable investment, on the basis that Planning Approval could be gained for redevelopment. Gould Singleton were successful in obtaining planning approval for 9 large detached houses on this prominent site on the A456
Ground contamination, highway safety and landscaping issues were successfully negotiated and Gould Singleton provided a full architectural service to the developer. To ensure individuality to this development, consideration was given to the use of a palate of varying roof tile and brick colours and textures. Nine individual 4 & 5 bedroomed houses were designed, some two & others 3 storey detached homes were created, all of which sold quickly on the open market, due in some respect , to the views afforded over the National Trust land of the Clent Hills.
