Within the past couple of weeks, a reserved matters application was submitted for a new retail park at Barracks Mill, Macclesfield.
The proposals consist of the provision of four retail units of varying floor areas with mezzanine floors to three of the units set out in a single block, all linked to front a retail car park and separate proprietary fast food units and a coffee unit with drive through facilities to the coffee unit.
A new junction will be formed off The Silk Road with an entrance and exit lane in compliance with Section 278 Agreements which is being progressed and approved separately, incorporating details for visibility and retaining structures to the highway land to form the new access in accordance with highway approvals.
The access road will lead to a lower level surfaced car park to provide a total of 369 car parking spaces made up of public car parking, disabled parent and child and staff car parking spaces
