Practice

INNOVATION  .  DESIGN  .  EXPERIENCE

Gordon Gould and Roy Singleton commenced practice as Gould Singleton Partnership in 1977 after working together at James A Roberts Associates in Birmingham.

From humble rented offices, the Practice grew and occupied their own purpose built offices in 1983. From these offices in Halesowen Town centre, the Practice continued to grow in both reputation and  size of commissions.

In 1985, Stephen Cox joined the Practice as a trainee, and in 1986, Stephen Bullock joined as an Architect. The flourishing Practice was further strengthened when Peter Icke joined in 1999. All became Partners in 2001. Foundations were now in place to allow a much larger diversity of projects to be undertaken through out the United Kingdom, and to allow the founding partners to retire.

Due to increasing staff numbers, in 2004, the Practice moved to larger offices, located on the Halesowen ring road, which affords direct access onto the M5 motorway and into Birmingham City Centre.

Our client base continues to expand, as does our clients’ confidence in our handling of their building and premises procurement, whether that be new build, refurbishment, or change of use.  We are proud to have retained many clients in excess of 30 years, most of whom have become good friends.

In 2018, after 32 years of service, Stephen Bullock retired from the practice having helped the company build upon a strong foundation and overseeing growth of the business into various sectors of work for future development. Currently Gould Singleton continues to deliver projects throughout the country overseen by directors Stephen Cox and Peter Icke.

With a history extending more than 45 years, our intentions and commitments remain to provide vision, expertise and professionalism, ensuring that we offer innovative solutions while delivering both technically and commercially. Our clients trust us to do great work on their behalf and come back to us time and time again.
