The proposed development includes the erection of a mixed-use scheme with a new convenience store being provided at ground floor with a further five residential apartments at first floor level to serve existing and future residents with ancillary parking, site infrastructure and new landscaping.
The proposed new mixed-use scheme will be positioned along the eastern boundary of the site and set back from Hobnock Road. The access to the site will be along the
northern boundary to the west of the store maintaining suitable visibility splays along Hobnock Road. Careful consideration has been given to the positioning of the store in context with
the existing built form to the south maintaining ridge lines to the new development on a north south access to match those houses already constructed to the south and also similar to the houses being proposed underneath planning application of which we have consultation with Bovis Homes prior to the formal application.
Sought for consent before the end of 2025, the site is considered as an infill site due to the residential development that surrounds it. Considerable work and review has been undertaken in the scale, mass and positioning of the store so as not to conflict with existing houses.
