The scheme proposal offers a new high‐bay warehouse located to the rear of the existing, positioned to assist movement of goods and vehicle movement through the central part of the site aiding vehicle movement offering improved safety, reduced time and improvements for the surrounding residents.
A desire by the company to improve its overall image of its main site frontage when viewed from Shelah Road resulted in creating a new strong focal point for its main headquarters, improving the fenestration of the existing buildings (Blocks 2 and 3) facing Shelah Road, which will include a complete new rainscreen cladding system across the existing facades but will
also incorporate a new entrance feature to Block 3 which will involve the part demolition of the entrance feature and a new, higher, roof feature to create a strong focal point.
